So after several…several hours spent at my school building animating/working on shots, I came home and… wanted to doodle.
And then I ended up doodling the entire female cast of Freaks. (minus the non-deformed ladies.) It’s not QUITE done yet, I’d like to add more line thickness, shadows, highlights, etc etc etc but I was happy with it so I wanted to share.
My hand wants to fall off.
Edit: Oops. When I was digging through references, and in watching the movie itself, I thought Schlitzie was a girl but according to wikipedia Schlitzie is a boy? Ah well. He gets to be included anyway!

I was trying out new photoshop brushes last night and decided to do something a little different. Instead of drawing it, I tried to only make myself do the highlights.
Eventually I had to change the brush to black to go back in and fix some overly saturated white spots, but overall it was fun and rather zenning to do. I don’t think it looks anything like the person it was supposed to, but I enjoyed doing it.
